CBC is echoing Freeland telling a US TV network, "Do the American
people really believe that Canada is a threat to US security?"
This comment seems like a low level insult to the intelligence of
Americans and CBC giving it uncritical coverage is poor journalism.
Just in case anyone here does not get it, when a country loses its
capacity to make steel and aluminum it is vulnerable at times of
conflict. Sanctions is an act of war. It was the opening act of WWII
when international Jewry applied them to Germany in March 1933 when
Germany had little or no aluminum of its own.
Instead of insulting Trump, Freeland and Trudeau should recognise that
both countries suffer from the same issue - a gutting of our
manufacuring by the Asians - and join Trump in his mission to bring
back factory jobs.
