You mean the CBC with its 1.3 billion dollar subsidy only placed 2
shows in the Top 40 and one is HNIC which the artsy fartsy ppl
despise. Schitt's Creek which has all sorts of advertising out here
promoting it which has that homosexual Levy in it and is in its 3rd
season is not in the Top 40? Eliminate the CBC subsidy. CBC TV and
radio has no meaningful purpose in 2017 Canada. Vote Tory they are the
best hope for ending this money sucking hole.

One, actually. HNIC is produced by Rogers, and Rogers gets the advertising
revenue; all CBC gets are the promo spots for other CBC shows.

You can definitely see why they keep milking the 'Anne' franchise. Is that all Canada
can do? I think CBC needs to change, but I'm not sure about abolishing it. People
should be concerned about the size of CBC's web presence in the news/information area as
they are competing with private companies who are generally not doing very well.

CBC Radio fills a niche not really covered by private radio, although I'm not sure that
they need more than one channel. Keep that - especially the local news and information
programming.

CBC TV is pretty much useless at present. I think they ought to move to a PBS-type
funding model, and they really need to find another way to support independent
development of programming because the ideas coming from their tower on Front Street
basically suck.
